EXQUISITE BUT TOUGH

WALLZ® TEX MATT gives really beautiful texture and is tough, since it contains specialised minerals with strength of granite and special additives to give a long lasting product taking care of the harsh conditions of the tropical climate, industrial towns and coastal cities.

WALLZ® TEX MATT also ‘breathes’ and therefore doesn’t crack. This is because the CoPolymer resin has high adhesive properties, and is highly flexibile to the changing temperatures and also bridges hair line cracks. In addition, it contains special high grade pigments which provides greater opacity, a rich and thick coating of reinforced toughness, weather-resistance, durability and no peeling.

Rigorous tests conducted have proved that similar product formulation can last for years and years without losing its protective finish. Buildings painted nearly a decade ago show that the finish is as on the day it was applied.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Ensure that the surface is cleaned thoroughly and rendered free of loose dust, dirt or grease. Clean the surfaces with the use of stiff brush and wash the surface with water. Old surfaces with fungus / algae growth require thorough cleaning and suitable biocide treatment. After cleaning, apply stabilized household bleach (Calcium Hypochlorite with approx. 35% Chlorine content– recommended proportion 2 kg. to 50 litres of water). Brush well and leave for 24 hours, wash down thoroughly and allow to dry.

CHALKY FRIABLE SURFACES

The loose particles mus be removed by stiff brushing and scraping. Next apply WALLZ® STABILIZING SOLUTION, a highly advance solvent based product with high penetration properties. The friable surface will become rock-hard and ready for WALLZ® TEX MATT application after 12 hours. Treated surfaces must not be left unpainted for more than 48 hours.
WALLZ® STABILIZING SOLUTION should not be used on bitumen and gypsum based materials.
WALLZ® TEX MATT can be applied directly on new surfaces if they are basically sound and free from organic growth.

TECHNICAL DATA

• Nature : Thixotropic liquid
• Finish : Textured Matt Finish
• Shade : As per shade card
• Application : Can be applied by brush or roller. Wallz® Tex Matt should not be applied during rainy, wet or frosty weather conditions.
• Coverage : On a sponge finish surface, approximately 30 to 35 Sq. Ft. Per litre for 2 coats, Depending on the porosity and texture of the surface.
• Drying time : Within 4 to 6 hours under normal climatic conditions.
• Curing : Requires no curing
• Base Coat : Base Coat of White Cement / Wallz® Cement paint is recommended.
• Thinning : Wallz Tex Matt usually does not require thinning or diluting. It flows easily and smoothly with dragging, right down to the last drop. However, upto 0.5 litre of clean potable water to 4 litres of Wallz Tex Matt may be added for easy brushablility, when the surface is absorbent or during hot weather.

Note

a) Over dilution must be avoided, as that would result in shade variation, poor hiding, poor bonding and flaking.
b) No thinner or stainer is to be used with Wallz® Tex Matt
c) Brushes and equipment need washing in water.
d) Stir well before using.
