WALLZ®ACRYLIC DISTEMPER

WALLZ® Acrylic Distemper combines the economic advantages of distemper with the time tested performance of co-polymer emulsions. Salient features of this product are excellent cleanliness of shades and relatively shorter recoatability period of hours. The original brightness and beauty can be regained by wiping the entire surface with a mild solution of soap and water. The product is available in spectrum of shades.

TECHNICAL DATA:
  • Areas of application : Interior plasters, brick work, asbestos etc.
  • Recommended Thinner : Clean Potable Water.
  • Dilution : Add 600 to 650 ml of water to 1 kg of Distemper.
  • Method of Application : Brush, Roller or Spray.
  • Covering Capacity : 50 to 55 Sq. Ft/litre/2 coat. On well prepared smooth surface at recommended
  • Drying Time (@ 28-30°C 60+/-5%R.H.) : Surface Dry –15 to 20 minutes.
  • Recoating : After an interval of 4 Hours.
  • Finish : Smooth silky with slight sheen.

SURFACE PREPARATION
New Plaster surface should be allowed to mature for a period of at least 6 month. Remove loose plaster and dust particles and rub lightly with sand paper, previous coatings of lime wash, colour wash and powder distemper must be scraped off.
In case of repainting, earlier coating of oil based or emulsion based paints need not be removed if in sound condition. However, the sheen on such surfaces must be removed by thorough sanding. Cracked or flaking paint must be scraped off completely and the surface should be clean and dry before application paint.
APPLICATION
Apply a coat of Wallz® Water Based Cement Primer where necessary. For best result, fill up dents with 2 of more coats of Wallz® Finisha Cement Based Putty OR Wallz® Acrylic Wall Putty / Wallz® Spray Plaster applied in thin layers. Avoid use of Plaster of paris and its admixtures for filling dents and cracks. Where ever application of spot putty or full putty is resorted to, a coat of Wallz® Water thinnable Primer is recommended as an undercoat on the top of putty for eliminating the patchy appearance in final coats.

Wallz® Acrylic Distemper is supplied as a thick paste and water is to be added slowly to be paste while stirring, to obtain brushing consistency. Normally, for thinning, add 600 to 650 ml of clean potable water to 1 kg of Acrylic Distemper. However the amount of water needed will depend upon the porosity and texture of the substrate. Apply 2-3 coats by brushing, keeping an inter-coat interval of about 4 hours between successive coats.

TINTING MUST BE DONE, IF REQUIRED, BEFORE THINNING.

DO NOT OVER THIN.

STIR WELL AND STRAIN BEFORE USE.
