1. SURFACE PREPARATION: Make sure that the surface is absolutely dry. There should be a time gap of at least 30 days for Spray plaster application on newly plastered surface. Complete setting and hairline cracks, if any, should have set in. Ensure that the surface is fairly even. All ridges must be removed and dust and foreign matter should be brushed out. On highly friable and chalky surfaces the use of WALLZ® Reinforcing Plaster is recommended before the use of WALLZ® SPRAY PLASTER.
2. APPLICATION : WALLZ® SPRAY PLASTER is ready to use. Do not dilute. Using a painter’s putty knife, blade or a mason’s steel trowel apply the material on the surface. Use the fine steel edge to cover the entire surface, spreading out the material as much as possible, but ensuring the surface is fully covered by the material. The thickness should be about 1mm. On a very smooth and even surfaces a second coat is also not required. After the material has dried, apply a thin second coat (generally both coats do not exceed 2mm). Allow the material to dry. The drying time of each coat for recoatability should be 2 hours but could vary from surface to surface.
3. FINISHING : Make sure the material has fully covered the substrate and dried. Using 230/330 number water paper or a fine emery paper, gently level the area moving the paper in round circle. Ensure that the paper is fine and does not cause scratches on the Spray plastered area. After papering, the entire area to the desired smoothness and finish, dust with a dry clean cloth to wipe off powder on the surface due to papering. The Spray plaster is now ready for painting.
4. PAINTING : On the smooth surface finished with WALLZ® SPRAY PLASTER apply a single coat of Primer, allow the primer to dry. Then just apply any paint as per the manufacturer’s standard specification. In-fact Painting can be commenced after a few hours of Spray Plaster application.
